The Mixed Roots Foundation welcomes donations made in honor or in memory of your loved one. You can choose to support the Mixed Roots Foundation in lieu of gifts on a special occasion, or have memorial donations given instead of flowers. If you wish to make your memorial or honorary donation online, please donate online and complete the dedication section of the form. If you wish to mail in your memorial or honorary donation, please be sure to fill out the “acknowledgement” section on the printable mail in donation form.
The Mixed Roots Foundation will notify the individual or family of your online or mailed-in gift provided that contact information is included with the donation. When making a memorial donation to the Mixed Roots Foundation, please make your check payable to the Mixed Roots Foundation.

Corporate Giving
Mixed Roots Foundation welcomes and encourages companies to support our mission of supporting organizations that serve as a resource to the adoptee community, create more awareness of the adoption experience, and inspire the next generation of adoptees to become leaders in the community. Matching Gifts
Many companies have programs that allow employees to donate to a charity of their choice including donor match employee contribution programs either on a one-to-one or greater basis. Please check with your employer to see if there is a matching gift program for employees. Typically, employees provide proof to their employer of their contribution, and the company contacts the Mixed Roots Foundation, requesting that we fill out and complete a matching gift form they provide. Most companies will ask for the federal employer tax identification number (FEIN) for the charity.
For Mixed Roots Foundation, our FEIN is #45-2207782.
Wills, Trusts, and Life Insurance
Bequests are donations that are made through a will or a living trust. You can donate to the Mixed Roots Foundation through your estate planning by naming the Foundation in your will for a specific amount or a percentage share in your estate.
Another option is to name the Mixed Roots Foundation as the beneficiary of your estate after the payment of bequests to others. The process is very simple for most bequests. Another way to donate to the Mixed Roots Foundation is to name our organization as the beneficiary of an existing or new life insurance plan. This is a low-cost option, and your premium payments may be tax-deductible.
The Mixed Roots Foundation must be named as the owner and beneficiary of the insurance policy for it to be tax-deductible. If you have any questions regarding the various ways you can give, please contact us at donate@mixedrootsfoundation.org.
