CHILDREN OF WAR SHORT FILM BY ARNOLD CHUN
– PLEASE SUPPORT AND MAKE CHILDREN OF WAR A REALITY –
Mixed Roots Foundation is proud to serve as a charity partner for this incredible historical short film on the Korean War titled “Children of War”, by actor and filmmaker Arnold Chun.
This poignant narrative is deeply rooted in Arnold’s journey, drawing inspiration from his father’s tumultuous childhood experiences amid the backdrop of the Korean War, where he found himself orphaned.
Through this special legacy project, Arnold desires to honor the resilience of those who endured the ravages of war, shedding light on the untold stories of survival and perseverance and create a global platform to be a voice for the voiceless for children of war from around the World from the past, present and future. By weaving together elements of history and human resilience, the film seeks to pay homage to the survivors of the Korean War and establish a lasting legacy for generations to come. This project is to build and grow their legacy and to share with future generations to never forget “The Forgotten War” and the Children who were left behind.
Logline: Inspired by a true story, a resilient 7-year-old boy and his band of orphans navigate the chaos of the Korean War as they hang on to the hope of finding their families.
Our goal is to reach 500 founding partners to contribute $1,000 each that will ultimately raise $500K by end of this summer 2024 to recreate war-torn 1950s Korea and capture that time period for the authenticity of the film. A portion of contributions will support our work in partnership with our community partners that provide support to children and orphans both locally and globally in war-ravaged countries.
