The What’s Your IDU? social media campaign was created for anyone and everyone who has been touched by adoption. If you’re an adoptee, birth or adoptive parent or anyone who has an adoption experience, I strongly encourage you to share your IDU story at the www.myidu.org website. Individuals who tell their story of how adoption has impacted their life will answer three key questions regarding their Identity (Who are you?), Diversity (What are you?), and Unity (Where are you?).
I think this interactive campaign will help raise more awareness of the adoption experience, but more importantly it will allow individuals to connect and share their stories. The adoption experience is so fundamental to those who are adopted…There are a lot of us out there and it’s time for our stories to be heard!
